MODULE 8: Getting Additional Support
0/1
Tweak It Yourself (TIY)

Sometimes we make changes to a page or post and later realize — Oops! I preferred the earlier version. This lesson will show you exactly how to roll back to a previous version using Elementor’s revision history.

⚠️ A Word of Caution Before You Restore

🛑 Restoring an older version replaces your current content.
If you’ve made changes you still want to keep, consider copying them somewhere first before restoring.

🔄 When to Use Page/Post Restore

  • You made a mistake while editing

  • You accidentally deleted some content

  • You closed your screen and can’t “undo”

  • You prefer an older version of your design or copy

🛠️ How to Restore an Earlier Version (Elementor)

✅ Step 1: Open Your Page in Elementor

Navigate to the page or post you want to restore.

✅ Step 2: Click the Elementor Logo (Top Left)

This opens a menu.

✅ Step 3: Click on “History”

This opens two tabs:

  • Actions: Recent changes in the current editing session (you can undo here)

  • Revisions: Saved versions from previous editing sessions

✅ Step 4: Choose a Previous Version

In the Revisions tab:

  • Click through different saved versions (based on time/date)

  • Elementor will show a preview of what each version looked like

✅ Step 5: Click “Apply” to Load the Version

Once you find the version you want to return to:

  • Click Apply

  • Elementor loads that version into your editor

✅ Step 6: Click “Publish”

Once satisfied, click Publish to make that restored version live.

🔐 Pro Tips

  • Elementor saves multiple versions of your page/post as long as revisions are enabled

  • Always double-check the version you’re restoring to before hitting Publish

  • If you’re unsure, copy important sections before restoring

✅ Recap: Steps to Restore a Previous Page Version

  1. Edit the page with Elementor

  2. Click the Elementor logo, then History

  3. Go to the Revisions tab

  4. Choose an older version

  5. Click Apply

  6. Click Publish if you’re happy with the result

💡 Final Thoughts

Mistakes happen — and Elementor makes it easy to undo them.
