Sometimes, you may find that your image looks a little soft or blurry—maybe the subject isn’t as crisp as you’d like. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to sharpen blurry photos quickly using Photopea.

💡 Why Sharpen?

Sharpening enhances the edges and details in an image, making it appear more crisp and clear—especially helpful when:

• A photo looks slightly out of focus

• You’re working with lower-quality stock images

• Your image loses sharpness after resizing

🪄 Step-by-Step: Sharpening a Photo in Photopea

🔹 1. Open Photopea

Visit: https://www.photopea.com

Open your project or photo (as we did in the previous lessons).

🔹 2. Apply the Sharpen Filter

Here’s how to do it:

1. Click on the Filter menu at the top of the screen

2. Hover over Sharpen

3. Select Sharpen from the dropdown

That’s it! The filter is automatically applied.

🧪 You can click Undo (Ctrl + Z) and reapply the effect to compare before and after.

🔍 3. Check the Before and After

To see the effect clearly:

• Look at fine details in the image like eyes, text, or edges of objects

• Try toggling the filter off and on to notice the subtle improvement

🧐 For images that are very blurry, the difference may be more dramatic. For already clear images, it’s subtle but still helpful.
